French striker Ben Yedder has declared his commitment to Monaco's long-term success, stating that the club's positive team atmosphere and aim for the Ligue 1 title will help him achieve his goals.
In an interview with the French press, Yedder said: "I'm proud to be part of this team. The atmosphere is great and we have a clear vision for the future. We want to win the league and I'm confident that we can achieve it."
Yedder's comments come as Monaco look to build on their impressive start to the season, which saw them win three out of four games in September and October. The forward has been a key player for the club, scoring five goals in just six matches so far this term.
The striker, who joined Monaco from Sevilla last summer, believes that the team's unity and determination will take them further this campaign. He added: "We all believe in each other and our coach. Our goal is to keep improving and winning more games. We're working hard every day and I'm sure we'll achieve what we set out to do."
Monaco currently sit second in the Ligue 1 table, two points behind leaders Paris Saint-Germain. However, Yedder believes that they have the quality to challenge for the title and finish higher than their current position.
"I think we have everything to fight for the title," he said. "Our squad is strong and we have good players. We need to keep believing in ourselves and work hard every day. If we play like we did against Nice and Strasbourg, then anything is possible."
Yedder's confidence comes at a crucial time for Monaco, who face a tough run of fixtures ahead. They host PSG in their next game, followed by a trip to Paris Saint-Germain themselves before returning home to face Lille. But Yedder remains optimistic about their chances of success, saying: "We've had some good results so far, but there's still a lot of football left. We're ready for whatever comes our way."
