Augusto is a Brazilian footballer who returned to the Chinese Super League (CSL) after playing for two seasons in Europe. Augusto, born on May 21, 1996, started his professional career with Santos FC in Brazil before moving to Portugal's Primeira Liga side Braga. He made a successful debut in the Portuguese top-flight and was subsequently loaned out to several clubs across Europe.

In July 2018, Augusto signed for Belgian club Club Brugge Sint-Truiden, where he established himself as one of the team's most important players. He scored 24 goals and provided 15 assists during his time at the club, earning him a move to the English Premier League with Everton in January 2020.

At Everton, Augusto struggled to make an impact, scoring just three times in 37 appearances. Despite this, he remained a key player under manager Marco Silva and continued to contribute defensively as well. In June 2020, Augusto joined the Chinese Super League (CSL) side Shandong Luneng Taishan.

However, it wasn't long before Augusto found himself back in the spotlight. The 24-year-old Brazilian returned to Europe following a loan spell at Dutch club AZ Alkmaar, where he helped the club win promotion from the Eredivisie to the Eerste Divisie. Augusto then moved to another Dutch club, Feyenoord, but failed to establish himself in the starting lineup.

Despite these setbacks, Augusto remains a highly skilled player with a bright future ahead of him. His return to the CSL provides a fresh perspective and could potentially lead to increased opportunities for the Brazilian forward.
